What is holding you back in your life today? Are things from your past holding you back from receiving God's many great gifts? One of the main keys to overcoming life's disappointments is learning to let go of it. The way you let of the past is by choosing to forgive those who have hurt you or wronged you by believing God is going to restore everything that was take from you. Once you have done this you will feel a great weight lifted off your shoulders. You will be released from the pressure of trying to make up for your life's past mistakes or failures. You will then begin to experience the bright future God has in store for you! In the Bible it says "...but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching, forward to what lies ahead, I press toward the mark for the price of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:13-14).

What type of choices are you making today? Did you know that you make over 2,500 choices each day! Think about how many of those are the right ones every day. The amount of good choices in your life will determine the quality of your life. If you are constantly making good choices the quality of your life will be better and way more enjoyable. Remember not to make decisions based on desires of the flesh. That still small voice in the back of your mind is the holy spirit talking to you. Don't push it out of your mind and try to convince yourself what your doing is right. God is trying to help guide you with this voice. When we don't listen to that voice over and over again it starts to hinder our communication with God. In the Bible it says "If you live by the Spirit, you'll not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. (Galatians 5:16)

How many of us have learned how to give? Most people always know how to give around the holiday season but how many of us give when it's not that season. I see it every year. Most of the people I know are always in a good mood during the holidays either because they know they are about to get or they feel good because they are giving. If we went around and gave throughout the year like it was always a holiday season I feel you and the people around you would live a much happier, fulfilled life. I don't necessarily mean handing out presents but what I do mean is giving of your time. Just being there for someone or helping someone out when they are going through a tough time can mean so much more to a person than any worldly possession could. In order to find true happiness in what we do on this earth one of the ways to do this is to give of your own life to others. God has a different plan for each one of our lives but what he wants to do is make sure he can show his love, mercy and compassion through our life to others. If you never give and always take eventually you will have nothing left to take. In the Bible it says ".... Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over...."(Luke 6:38)
